    World, Meet Alzheimer’s in Monaco

January 16th, 2010 by Philip Low

    Dear All,

Welcome to your updated conference site.

The 1st International Congress on Alzheimer’s Disease and Advanced Neurotechnologies represents a radical departure from traditional medical conferences, wherein specialists in a given field interact with fellow specialists, often sharing similar training and biases.

For the 1st time in its 100 year history, the Alzheimer’s community will be interacting directly with innovators spanning diverse fields and infrastructures, from drug developers, to psychiatrists, mathematicians, computational neuroscientists… many of whom have never thought of Alzheimer’s before.

Our aim for the conference is clear: let’s shine a brighter light on Alzheimer’s by giving highly talented individuals from within and without the confines of the Alzheimer’s community, Academia, Industry -from large pharmas to startups- private foundations and Government, an opportunity to work together and create new approaches to better treat and understand Alzheimer’s disease and its many reverberations throughout the brain and body.

In California alone, Alzheimer’s Disease will have grown at 5 times the speed of the population by 2030. Indeed it is high time for all of us to be thinking about Alzheimer’s.

We hope you will be able to join us in Monaco, next February for this exceptional “Meeting of the Minds”.

    Sincerely,

    Philip Low
